Historic Black Friday Sale 2021

Hello, The Historic Black Friday Sale will start on Saturday the 20th of November.  The team here at Irish Newspaper Archives have received many questions about the upcoming sale and we thought it might be helpfully to provide answers to the most common questions.

1) Can I add a subscription to my current membership?

Our system will not add a new subscription to the end of a current subscription however you are able to purchase a gift membership which can be used when your current subscription expires. Please see below for more on our Gift Membership feature.

2) I currently have a monthly Silver membership, can I upgrade to a yearly membership with the Black Friday offer?

If you are in the middle or near the end of an active subscription you will need to disable the automatic renewal feature on your account. To disable the auto-renew feature simply login with your user credentials. Once logged in please look to the top right corner for the ‘My Account’ option. Once selected you will be brought to a new webpage showing your current subscription. Look for the large green button with ‘Cancel Renewal’. Select this button and confirm. Your current subscription will expire without renewing. You can now add a new subscription to your account. 

3) Can I upgrade my Silver Membership to a Gold Membership?

The process is the same as above, you will need to cancel the renewal on the current Silver membership and add a Gold membership to your account.

4) Gift Subscriptions, how do they work & can I buy one for my own use?

With Christmas edging ever closer take advantage of our Historic Black Friday Sale and purchase a gift subscription for a friend or loved one or maybe even yourself!  When a Gift subscription is purchased the Irish Newspaper Archive team will send an email to your registered email address with a coupon code. The email and code can be printed or forwarded to the recipient. The Gift subscription only becomes active when the code is used. The Gift codes can be used for new & existing accounts.
